The sole purpose of these functional errors are to practice your milling skills for creating an 80% lower to a 100% lower. Save your expensive lower for your second try and make your milling mistakes on this cheap piece of metal. We made milling mistakes that are totally not suitable for a firearm, that being said you might be able to pull off an epoxy & machining miracle in order to turn this into a firearm, but that is not our goal here with this product. Our goal is to use this as a cheap teaching aid or an an experimental and sacrificial piece of metal to try on first.

The lower I received is a “Black Guns Matter” example. I was expecting a raw finished part so yu can imagine my surprise and delight. I have looked this lower over with a magnifying glass andI cannot find a blemish worthy of rejection. I guess the folks at CryoStructure have higher standards than I do, which is a good thing.
